My friend says you can take out a harddrive and plug it into your working computer and get the files off the other harddrive too, even if it for example has a "Insert BOOT disk" error. Which my old pc does. I dont wana reformat it. Any suggestions?

Yes i made sure everything was plugged in right.. i even took my pc to a friends house and used their monitor i got the same signal of No input signal..so im guessing it's the pc..but how will i know what to mess around with( i dont want to mess it up even more then it already is)..

did you try to turn on and off more than once and also did your friends may have loosen the monitor plug in back of pc or... could they have unplug any parts on pc like harddrive or anything check all your plugs that they are all pluged first

Hm.. i had a question.. One of my friends has messing around with my pc one day froze it..and like a idiot kept on pressing n holding the power button .. now when i turn on my pc the screen wont turn on it says.. no input signal or Monitor Status: Inactive... so what can i do besides take it to get it fixed?

did your friends may have may have unpluged monitor plug and didnt tightn up maybe or also check your pc and see if al;l your plugs are snugg tight harddrive plugs and motherboard cables and also try to see if this helps
