Though we do not know exactly there are some possible reasons why people in the Old Testament lived so long: (1) God made Adam and Eve physically perfect and their genetic information would have been more pure, (2) it is possible that there was a canopy of water surrounding the earth, and (3) Genesis 6:3 may be a prophecy regarding the coming of the flood. • God meant, it was going to be 120 years til the flood. People lived long pre flood, because it was a different world than post flood.

  • @teshome0 Google it. It is not secret

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone he said he can offer some ideas never said they were true.... pay attention wo/man

  • @MegaBigMerv only a select people believe that since there is no set date on how old the world actually is

  • @sgal88 no there hasn't been anyone living past the age of 120 years old.... if u have evidence let me know where i can find it

  • @revjimbob note how he says there is no precise biblical answer he is just offering ideas based on what the bible says

  • oh this question is easy, BECAUSE ITS ALL MADE UP! seriously, most of you people are adults, please join the real world for a change and put down the big book of fairytales. also, the reason why we age is because of oxidation from the oxygen we breathe, it doesnt have shit to do with cosmic rays.

  • A series of bizarre assertions with no evidence whatsoever apart from the odd reference to the myths of a bronze-age tribe to back them up.

    Childish.

  • Another wild and crazy possibility is that Genesis is just a collection of old folktales.
