Though we do not know exactly there are some possible reasons why people in the Old Testament lived so long: (1) God made Adam and Eve physically perfect and their genetic information would have been more pure, (2) it is possible that there was a canopy of water surrounding the earth, and (3) Genesis 6:3 may be a prophecy regarding the coming of the flood. God meant, it was going to be 120 years til the flood. People lived long pre flood, because it was a different world than post flood.

oh this question is easy, BECAUSE ITS ALL MADE UP! seriously, most of you people are adults, please join the real world for a change and put down the big book of fairytales. also, the reason why we age is because of oxidation from the oxygen we breathe, it doesnt have shit to do with cosmic rays.

A series of bizarre assertions with no evidence whatsoever apart from the odd reference to the myths of a bronze-age tribe to back them up.
Childish.

Another wild and crazy possibility is that Genesis is just a collection of old folktales.
