Stopping Suicide Through Pain Control

Video explains how chronic pain patients can become so frustrated, and so tired of living in pain that an option of sucide is often contemplated. Discusses use of DBS, deep brain stimulators, as a last resort for chronic pain control when a patient declares if can't get relief from pain then suicide is an option. Discusses how tens units were used as a screening device on an external basis to determine if a spinal cord stimulator should be implanted. Video tries to inform pain patients that help for their pain is possible and suicide is not the option to take. Chronic pain patients are often clinically depressed.

And we try to help those who that is an option. Pain is no fun, chronic pain and the frustration become overwhelming. We hope we can put anyone in that position into some other options. Having survived our son's suicide at age 15, there are many other people who are affected, most often adversely, when suicide happens. Understand your pain and if we can help please let us know. Actually I don't remember it specifically but I do remember a video about dying and think it was in Oregon as a PBS documentary. Is that the same one?

i know pain all to well. And when there is no cure. Suicide, or the though of suicide is the only relief one can get.

@medfaxx That is on HBO and it was about euthanasia for the terminally ill.
