A view of the stern of U.S.S. Constitution in Charlestown MA. The ship is the 2nd last stop on Boston's historic Freedom Trail. The ship is known as Old Ironsides because cannon balls appeared to bounce the Frigate's thick oak sides.

Those are the same fighting tops from which Marines shot the captain of the HMS Guerriere, as well as his 1st and 2nd Lieutenants on 19. Aug 1812.
A few months later, Capt Lambert of the HMS Java is also shot by a Marine sharpshooter.
Yep...alot of history up there.
