This is a vid about a complete restoration of an Omega 30T2 from 1944. Dial is complete refurbished. Hands, center wheel and crown are NOS. This project was a dream from 3 years ago and now this wonderfull 30T2 is part of my Omega wristwatch collection. Many thanks to my cousin for help and support.

  • Excellent video. Can I aska question about the age of the watch? You say it is from 1944, but I have an Omega watch with a lower serial number which my grandfather bought in 1946. His movement serial number is 10622794 and it is a bumper auto movement. I suppose they used serial numbers consecutively, which would make your watch 1946 /1947. Omega's website has documents which can give dates for serial number ranges.

You did a great job there. How much of the original watch was left at the end?

  • @Tonyv1951 Hi and many thanks for your kind words. About the Internet info about Omega Serial numbers, yours coulb be made between 1944 and 1947. HAHA, i think the restored dial and some minimun parts was the original. Maybe the properly name for the video could be "Omega 30T2 made with parts from here and there".

  • Wow! Amazing video. Great job.

  • @Flurinamsler Thanks for your kinds words, they are my support.

  • Hi,

Great video for those who appreciate a vintage watch.

I am restoring one myself and was wondering who did the dial restoration?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

  • @frankgontijo Many thanks for your kind words, coments are much appreciated. Hope you have fun restoring your whatch. Dial restoration was made for proffesionals. They only restore dial with old technics operation, puting the dial in an acid solution and after puting in diferents enamels. Whatch appears better than images can show. Hope you enjoy my another vids. VFROWNER

  • @THE16THPHANTOM

Aaahahaha! It's a mechanical watch. Quartz sucks!

  • @MirceaD28 i know that now...i used to think they didn't need any battery that they charged them selves, i thought that was why they are so expensive( i know better now).

  • @THE16THPHANTOM You are joking, right?! It's a mechanical watch not quartz

  • God, your excellent. Many thanks for showing the World how good vintage watches can be. Best Wishes from Ireland, - Eamon.
