I gazed at her pastel brittle body which was on the hospital bed, tears were smarting my eyes, I didn't want to seem like a wimp, but at this second I surely didn't care, I had to display to her that I was going to be there with her every phase of the way.
I lean in closer towards her body, gently stroking her hair, the tears finally burst out, the instant I came in contact with her touch, the tears were streaming. It had been nearly days since the horrific accident.
-Flashback-
I tapped on the steering wheel, to the beat of the music, before grinning towards my elegant wife who was slowly drifting off to sleep. I inaudibly plant a soft kiss on her cheek as I fondled away strands of hair from her face, before gently strident it behind her ear.
She giggled lightly before murmuring a quiet 'I love you' making my grin much broader. 'I love you too baby girl' I whispered gently. 'It's a green light' she spoke once again;
I slowly turned my gaze towards the road to see it indeed was a green light. As I began to drive, bright lights were trouncing our eyes; I took a glimpse towards my love's side to see a truck heading our way. I gasped in shock trying to save both our lives, but it was a bit too late for rescuing.

I shake my head, ever since the car crash, I've never stepped foot outside the hospital, each and every day, I'm always beside her weak body. Pray and hoping that she will wake up and make it through this, I gently lay my head on her bedside, just as my eyes were about to close from exhaustion, I felt her stir around. I instantly sit up, calling in a nurse.
'Oh thank god!' I gasped, pleased, a smile spreading on my face. 'Your awake' I smiled, yet April had a confused expression on her face. 'Sweetie, you were in a car accident' spoke the nurse who was checking if everything was alright. April had slowly nodded her head before beginning to speak.
'I feel thirsty' her hoarse voice erupted the room, I nodded my head before grabbing a bottle of water and handing it towards her, she gently took it from my hands. 'My head hurts' she spoke clearly in pain. The nurse nodded her head 'I'll go get some medication for that'. Just as she was about to head out, April spoke once again. 'Is anyone else hurt?' April whispered, before the nurse breathed, I was taken back from her question.
'You know who I am right?' I spoke, praying she would. April puzzlingly nodded her head, I exhaled out a sigh of relief 'Okay good' I half- smiled. 'You're my doctor aren't you?' April raspingly retorted, making my whole world freeze.
I walked out of the hospital shaking my head, anger got the best of me, I started punching the wall and kicking every little object away from me, I cuss under my breath leaning down on the walls, silently crying, seeing the love of my life, know remembering who I am.
