Bamboo-Train in Cambodia/Bambus Zug in Kambodscha

Unterwegs am Bambus-Zug in Kambodscha. Ursprünglich wurden die bis zu 30 km/h schnellen Züge für den Transport speziell während der Regenzeit eingesetzt. Dann sind nämlich die Straßen oft schwer passierbar. Sie fahren auf den Schienen der vor Jahren eingestellten Kambodschanischen Eisenbahn. Heute ist der "Bambus-Zug" auch eine beliebte Touristen-Attraktion in der Nähe von Battambang. Wie lange noch ist fraglich, denn die Eisenbahn soll in Kambodscha saniert und reaktiviert werden. On the way on the bamboo-train in Cambodia. Originally the trains were used from the local people for transportation especially during the rain season. Then the streets are really bumpy. The bamboo-trains go on he tracks of the Cambodian Railway, that is out of order since several years.

Nowadays the "bamboo-trains" are also a turist-attraction near Battambang. Perhaps they also have to stop service within the next months, because the Cambodian Railway should be reactivated.
