Full-Motion cutscene from Westwood Studio's Dune 2000.

The Fremen Kari, a Death Commando has been captured along with many other Fremen. As Fremen are quick to commit suicide after imprisonment, they must be dispatched quickly, meaning the medical staff is working round the clock installing heart plugs, if for nothing else than to increase morale. The Twisted Mentat Hayt De Vries, using the insane cruelty instilled in him from the Tlielaxu Flesh Vats, has discovered a plan by the Emperor. The, Emperor, very man who commissioned the war, is going to betray the three great Houses. The entire Spice War was a ruse to thin their ranks so they could never be a threat to the Emperor's Sardaukar. Luckily, the Emperor's plans would fail if they were discovered so soon, so the Harkonnen will play along as if they hadn't yet discovered it. As long as one radar outpost in the region where the Heighliners are to land is still operating, then time will be bought for the Baron to prevent the Emperor from interfering with his petty alliance to the Ordos.

  • the Harkonnen Baron always seems gay, so he's probably gay in this game too.

  • We see so little of him, but I'd imagine he's gay. He was in the novels, so why not? I made up all that story stuff in the descriptions so as far as I'm concerned, he's just as pedophilia and homoerotic minded here as he is in the novels and movies. Heck, let's make him flaming. That'd be hilarious.

  • I suspect he's homosexual. Its hard for me to explain. It's just something about his voice.

  • The Harkonnens are basically hedonists, so he could very well be any number of (fill in blank)-sexual. It wouldn't surprise me if he was a necrophiliac.

  • The way Hayt says "Baron, dinner!" is as if the Baron is his personnal pet lion or something instead of his lord...

  • "Get back in the kitchen"

  • @Warrior1984100 Was a Benne Gesseret that was sent to seduce him.

  • Baron Harkonnen, according to the novels, was the father of Lady Jessica, the Duke's concubine, which makes him Paul and Alia's grandfather. Exactly whom he had as a female partner I cannot remember.

  • @TheChrissmith92

It's a heart plug. Some sort of device that purifies one's blood due to all the pollution on Geidi Prime or something like that. Pull it out, and the person will die. I don't recall if they were in the book or not (been a while since I read it), but they were shown in several, but not all, of the seemingly dozens of different edits of the David Lynch movie.

  • What is it that he rips off her, a transmitter?

  • I think the man is a hoot!

  • @bursegsardaukar I'm talking about bleeding out until you're near death/dead. That's what exsanguination is.

  • This would be the worst way to study for a vocabulary test.

  • @Anthrolithos What are you talking about?
