Veteran helicopter rescue pilots said a rescue of a few dozen people would have been diffucult but possible in 2001, yet they were ordered not to attempt rescue.

Why were FEMA crews on site the day before the tragedy?

  • Real life doesn't work like the movies where somebody just takes that risk and tries 2 land. In a disaster first responders follow orders and r trained not to put themselves in situations that put anybody else at risk. Those pilots have crews whose lives depend on them and risking a landing in dense smoke with no visibility and wind is intensely difficult. There could also be a mad rush if there are people up there. There are 2 many unknowns 2 make it worth it. No 1 ever thought they would fall.

  • it is a curious thing that there was not anyone up on the observation decks that morning?

  • Yet another peice of evidence ignored.

The whole 9/11 report is pathetic.

  • the mass murdering sociopathic skull n bones bastards

  • @jaguarclaw

    remember the embassy in saigon?

    that's why no.

  • most important part of the video is at 1:51

  • Well the most likely reason is for the pilots safety. If the tower fell at the same time the helicopter was landing on the rooftop the falling debris would have destroyed the helicopter. Yes i find it said to that the Copper wasn`t able to rescue the people but they had to think for the safety of the pilots too.

  • Because it would be pointless. the fire wasn`t at the rooftop all it would do is make puddles and wet the roof.

  • It appears to me, as the people were jumping to their death - why not put a guy with a line on the roof and attach it there? Possibly the other end might still be attached to the chopper. Then u can have it slide down the building.

    Was there even an attempt?

  • I always wondered why they didn't drop water!
