A quick summary of the 2009 POST (Pacific Ocean Shelf Tracking) Project on the Seymour River carried out by the Seymour Salmonid Society.
Juvenile steelhead were implanted with transmitters so their movements in the ocean could be tracked with the POST array (www.postcoml.org). Almost 160 steelhead were tagged and released into the Seymour River and Burrard Inlet. The data collected from this study will provide valuable insight into the survival, timing, and movements of steelhead during their early marine phase.

With the saltwater release, is there a concern that these fish would not be able to find their way back to their natal stream, in this case the Seymour, after their ocean adult phase?

very well made, I also thought the sponsors accreditation at the end was a nice touch.
