@CheeringBliss Thanks for the comment... and keep watching, it gets better! Best thing I can tell you pre-op is to get one of those "grabbers" to help you pick stuff up, as you won't be able to bend for a long time. They really come in handy. And make sure you have pillows to help in the car on the ride home from the hospital, I didn't and wish I would've. Also have phone numbers of the people who have offered to help post op, keep them handy and don't be afraid to ask for help! Keep us posted
I'm only on your second video at this point but I already feel some comfort watching them! I am three weeks away from my own Posterior Lumbar Fusion and Decompression (L5/S1) and I'm interested in how this turns out for you (my prayers are with you)
@jackiewackie65 Hang in there! The docs are ultra conservative now since there are so many people with pill addictions these days. Hopefully the surgeon will be able to offer some hope of recovery for you. Best of luck at your appointment, take it easy.
I know what you went threw, I too dealing with the pain, 4 blocks, no pain med, they think im looking for pain medicince, told me I need to see a doc for dependenceis, I am a singal mom, doing this by my self, going to see the surgeron, in two days.. I hope Ill beable to get my life back, its my L5, and 3 other dics
@donna477 Hi Donna, I'm just opening my laptop for the first time after surgery. So it will take me a while go get caught up! I hope your surgery goes well, and look forward to hearing from you. Geez, sorry to hear the Lyrica stopped working, it has been a miracle for me. I can say that after surgery, I am having some nerve pain that is higher than the Lyrica dose, I guess :) Take care and will be in touch. Susie
I'm having my surgery in 2 days, and everything you say in this video is so true, I barely leave my house. I was looking for your post-op diary, but realized you just had your surgery last week. I hope it went well, since you are a week ahead of me, I'll be checking for your blog. By the way, you just mentioned the Lyrica, that was the 1st one my Dr put me on and it was amazing the first year, but now I don't know if I'm building a tolerance to it or if my pain is just overriding the lyrica.
