School days kept on growing longer and longer as I waited in anticipation for the tickets to go on sale. But at the same time, I didnt want them to come on sale. I was nervous to see if I would meet Joe again. Has he changed? What if he didnt write that song about me, but about some other girl he knows. I guess the only thing I could do was wait. And let me tell you that I am a very very VERY impatient person. So its Alysons job to keep me from going crazy.

At lunch Alyson and I always sit together. "How many more days?" I groaned as I dipped a french-fry in ketchup. "About 30." She sighed as she ate her salad. She thinks she needs to lose five pounds, but she was like the skinniest girl I have ever seen. But try telling her that, and shell scream about how fat she is, so I choose not to say anything.

"I still cant believe that Victoria is still telling everyone about her tickets." I said. "I know! She like seriously needs a life. Like now." Alyson added. "What if she like buys out all the tickets so we cant get any!" I said as doubt washed over me. This always happens when I think about something too much. Its a habit I need to drop.

"Don't worry about it Kay. She can't do that. Her dad wouldn't let her." Alyson said as she looked at me sincerely. I just nodded and ate my french fries.

At last period I was just about ready to kill myself. Our social studies teacher was droning on and on about civil rights. I mean we already now about that. But as long as its not school work, I'm somewhat fine with it. I just wish it was over with. This is the only class that Alyson and I dont have together. It was an elective and she was smart enough to choose creative writing instead of this.

Once that was over it was time to leave. I packed up my tote bag and began to walk home. Except this time I took a long route. I walked along the edge of the park. I havent been there in a while. I walked over to the sandbox and sat down. It reminded me of the time I was about five. It was the first time I met Joe.

FLASHBACK:
"Is that a Barney shirt?!" A boy my age asked me as he pointed to my shirt. "Yeah! My mommy bought it for me!" I said. "Where? I want one!" "Well ask your mommy." I said. "Come with me so I can show her the one I want! Im Joey!" He said. "Cool! Im Kayla!" I laughed.
*END OF FLASHBACK*

I smiled at the memories. I wanted to stay there forever but the cold was numbing. I brushed off the sand and walked home.
