It's nice to have a tele zoom, but I really think that's better choose a wider angle with a better optic quality.

I looking for a good lens to go with the Nikon D7000 that is better then the kit lens which is the 18-105mm. Would this lens suit that body well? I'm looking for a reasonable priced lens like this that is all around good and sharp. I will use it for landscapes, portraits, and jut random every day stuff.
