Recently Google announced it's new tablet and Google I/O 2012. Milliseconds after it was announced XDA Elite Recognized Developer AdamOutler had his ordered. When he received it he did what you would expect from our resident mobile deconstructionist.

In this episode of Unboxing the XDA Way, Adam unboxes the Nexus 7 all the way down to the circuit board and talks about the build while doing so. Adam covers both the good and the bad design characteristics. Finally, like any XDA member would do, he unlocks the device and installs ClockworkMod recovery. This is a must watch video!

The extra button was for the camera which is why there is a hole in the circuit board. Google and Asus decided to get rid of the rear facing camera to keep the overal price low but didnt redo the internals because they wanted to release this device as soon as possible. thumbs up so others can see

I think it was a waste that they just didn't throw in the back camera.

First you should know what rooting is, XDA has a great vid on it, done by a ranting crazy person...But go check it out. you need to know what ROMs and kernels are before you flash them, go to XDA to find more about everything
