I agree. The Weeping Angels are fast and they wanna send you back in time and you can't look away or they'll get you BUT if you keep looking, you'll end up with the image of an angel in your eye and everyone knows what happened to Amy Pond. However, the Silence's memory wipe means that you could be surrounded by them and never know and they could be influencing your actions and thoughts. Tally marks can tell you that you've seen some, but it won't change the fact that you've already forgotten.

Well, the Weeping Angels make you live to death. You still die because of them; it's just a slow death. But that's not to forget what they did to Angel Bob in Time of the Angel/Flesh and Stone. They killed people. Now, it wasn't their normal MO. But they still snapped people's necks. Which isn't very polite at all.

I loved Blink. Wasn't a big fan of Midnight. It's interesting that in both Blink and Midnight, the Doctor is affected by the alien. He isn't infallible. However, in Blink, we get to see a truly exception character (Sally Sparrow) and equally interesting aliens (the weeping angels). But in Midnight, the Doctor gets the voice repeaty thing for a few minutes and then it's all good again. Things just kind of revert back to normal with minimal effort. Or plot.

I think it's the fact that statues are all around us and we would never know that a specific statue ISN'T a weeping angel because we can't see it move. Also, because the angel directly attacked the Doctor and he isn't usually affected; I mean, he's attacked but it doesn't mean anything. Like, you lop his hand off and he regrows it. But in Blink (like in Midnight) the Doctor is directly changed. He's separated from his T.A.R.D.I.S. and we can't trust he'll be able to save the day.
