Piping a Basket Weave

Piping a basket weave pattern in buttercream. This is a time lapse video where each frame is 2 seconds. It really took an hour to pipe this. how many cake mixes total did you use?

@AubreyMalachi 3 Duncan Hines cake mixes will fill a 12x18x2 pan nicely. So 9 cake mixes.  But I had to level off each cake after baking, so there were plenty of scraps.

What did you use on the cake before the weaved buttercream? A think layer of buttercream or ganache?

@bldanielson It's a simple layer of buttercream. Italian Meringue, to be specific.
