I provide you with the free pattern for Adults (one size fits most) and Children (one size fits most). This is a great beginner project and the fleece fabric can be substitute with other warm and soft fabrics you may have in your stash.

I show you a few different hats so you can see some ideas of how you can embellish the ear flaps with fleece scrap strips, a braid, decorative yarn, etc. Play around with it and make it your own!

Supplies you will need:
1/2 yard of two different fleece fabrics
coordinating thread

scissors/rotary cutter
pins
sewing machine

do you think that using felt in this project will make the hat comfortable?

Nope. The felt doesn't stretch like this fleece does. It will probably look and feel weird if you're able to get it on. Try something else like a stretch knit instead.
