@armidas200 I grew up in Tehran and Isfahan and telling you, almost anyone I knew was a critic of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. We were one of the most proud and respected nations in the world, there were all kinds of freedom except political freedom in Iran during the Pahlavi. Our economy was the fastest growing economy with 0% unemployment and highest % saving rate in the world. look where Iran stands in the world today!!
-
@armidas200 the mullahs are NOT nationalist, their ideology is based on Khomeini's ideology who said: "let Iran burn to help flourish Islam..." and said "Nationalism is evil, our goal is a global Islamic empire" even said that "Democracy is against Islamic values" . This regime is anything but nationalist, they would burn Iran to the ground just to follow their barbaric Islamic ideology.

@newworldordernyus I am an Iranian.Born in and I lived there until 2010 so I know what I am talking about. Our generation is critical of the Islamic Republic not the Revolution. And if we take your argument that shah was a misguided nationalist,we can say the same thing about mullahs, you know. They are misguided nationalists that are abusing their power.your logic doesn't sound all that good when used against you now eh?start thinking with your head instead of your mouth.
-
@armidas200 I was born and raised in Iran under the mullahs dictatorship and my generation condemned the 1979 revolution more than any other mistake made in Iran's history since the Arab invasion 1400 years ago. You know nothing about Iran's history, you are not even an Iranian so shut your mouth and listen to one of the victims of the mullahs. Shah was a nationalist leader who abused his power thinking that he was doing the best for Iran, not a brutal dictator .
-
@newworldordernyus it was the Iranian people who built Iran and it's them who has the right to chose the people they want as government! As Kennedy said:"Those who make peaceful reform impossible make violent revolution inevitable."So you are blaming Iranian people for wanting freedom and having hopes and aspirations? The Monarchy in Iran was nothing but dictatorship and brutality. What "decades of achievements"?Do you know anything about contemporary Iranian history?Anything at all?
-
@armidas200 I blame the Iranian people more than anyone else for the revolution that destroyed Iran. There is nothing wrong with having a revolution, but not a revolution against all the decades of achievements and ins support of the most backward animals on the face of the earth, the mullahs. The fanatical and illiterate mullahs had no chance of power without the way idiots gave so much power to them. I blame the Iranian people for making such mistake and betrayal of those who built Iran.

@JohnGomezPlanet10 you are right but you also need to remember the time(i.e. the context).at the time the communist party was warning of the possible coup but no one listened(Iran was a DEEPLY religious country and communists were not, well, loved.since it was rumored that they are atheists/agnostics.)Also,Mussa
deq made the mistake of trusting those army generals who The Comm.Party was warning about and had staged a failed coup against him before.Furthermore, you are talking 1953 Iran... -
@newworldordernyus for reforms but the system is brutalizing and oppressing them, with the assumption that the would go away. But this is the exact same process that happened in the 70s.First people ask for reforms,if the system complies, perfect and if not give them time. Now if enough time has passed and nothing happened, well, people will make the change they want, one way or the other.Try to read history again this time actually thinking with an open mind while reading it.
This should be on NBC, BBC,...
give people the facts and the reasons behind the terrorism...
Tho historically Iran/Persia has never attacked another country/empire without being attacked first!

@newworldordernyus while Carter conspired against the Shah and backed Khomeini, I don't solely blame America for 1979, I blame the people who were under the influence of Soviet propaganda and Marxism, the majority who were brainwashed by the mullahs and the idiots who didn't back Bakhtiar (including some of Mossadeq fan Jebheh Melli who back stabbed Bakhtiar)
No revolution was needed in 1979, only some reform that Bakhtiar was planning was enough to turn Iran into a real democracy
