This is my baby Giant Afrian Land Snail. He is called Afin and is an Albino, yes he is real! He is 7months and 13 days old. If you look close enough, you can see the food he is eating travel over and down the back of his head.

  • WHY are they illegal in the USA?

  • @xPinkStrifex not too sure, I have an inkling that it might be because of the food crops. These snails eat a lot of food! and if you release them, it will do some damage to the crops. I know its illegal to release them in the uk but not to own them.

  • glad you all like afin :D !!! hes grown since this video ive just never got round to putting an update on here :(

  • you can see its parts moving in its head!!!! so cute!!! i wish they were not illegal in the us i would own one!!!!

  • @BackupXrpXacount , yes im glad where allowed them here in England, and its kinda grouse when he eats lol!

  • @CertifiedNutso Reticulata*

  • He is adorable :) Is he a Fulica or a Reticula?

  • I'm gonna try get an albino snail. :)

  • Aw, it's weird and adorable and I really want one. But I guess they're illegal for a reason. Still cute though.

  • @spotsoftea I'm definitely sure that's Cary Grant but I can't seem to pinpoint which movie exactly. He really has such an awesome voice...

  • @Afinthegiantsnail

not quite^^ actually they're considered an invasive species in some places of the u.s. cause they have no natural enemies and eat alot

someone once released some of them and it cost about 50.000$ and 10.000 snail lifes to get the environment back to normal in that area

they're legal in germany though because here, they will die in the winter if released

but i dont even think the user above wanted to know that, it was more of a bitter rhethorical question i'd say..

  • its posture makes it look like a squirrel munching away on a nut ^_^

    it's adorable!

  • that is the cutest snail ever!

  • Out of curiosity, what's playing in the background?
