Cassady's Hammer performs in Santa Cruz on January 21, 2009. The ocassion was a performance for Spilly's Chile TV show, and this litte video clip was assembled from the non-broadcast, un-official video documentation by a friend of the band.
Cassady's Hammer is Jeff "Stretch" Riedle on drums, Thomas Dilbeck on bass and David "Duckie" Borough on guitar.
On this performance, they are joined by special guest John Allen Cassady, son of literary adventurer Neal Cassady. John was named after Neal's friends Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg.
This is a performance of a song called "Irish Groove" which segues into "Louie Louie." Anyone that knows Stretch knows all about his history with KFJC radio, and his unique to connnection to Richard Berry's famous melody.
