Taken from Denise's 1980 LP "I'm So Hot", where a radiant looking Denise -as usual - wrote and produced the majority of the material. Her husband DJ James "Super" Wolfe co-wrote "May The Funk Be With You" and also used "I'm So Hot" for his own regional hit, the early rap classic "Super-Wolf Can Do It", issued 1980 on Sugarhill. The title track was also, oddly enough, Denise's only hit while she was on MCA, charting at #82 in the summer of 1980. This is a great album with many nice songs. The legendary Ollie Nightingale, of Ollie & the Nightingales fame sings on this track.
