  • No, you can't test to see if the brakes are adjusted properly if the drum and wheel are not on.

  • Nice Explanation. You taught ma a few new things. Thx. Keep up the helpful how to's.

  • @expertvillage Thanks Expertvillage

  • @olojulagbari Your adjuster is/was seized up. I would recommend getting a self adjusting kit. That will replace all of your current work out hardware, including the piece that the "expert" was hammering away on. The kits go for around $10-$15 at AutoZone.

  • the expert i gave my car to in the workshop had to hit the screwdriver very hard several times to adjust the brake. Could that be dangerous for my car? VERY HARD he hits hard on the adjuster.

  • what a drag

  • wish i could access the star wheel without taking the drum & tire off. stupid Pontiac design. great video though!

  • Such a great explanation!!!!!! REALLY.. way more detail than the others I watched.

This also explains that I need more drag :-)

    THANK YOU

  • @Corey497 Yes

  • what about a rear axle? it takes more effort to spin the tire, you have the drag from the driveshaft off the rear diff, is it still one revolution??

  • Ok so I have a 1995 yukon 4x4 2 door rear drum brakes pedal started to feel spongey so I was gonna adjust them but it doesn't have a startwheel can some one help
