you are lucky to have animal traction! and at least some self-sufficiency! in my country, there is no significant animal traction, there have been serious tries by our former socialistic government to modernize and mechanize the agriculture. now, when the recession has come, our farmers don't have the money to plow, manure, and seed. self-sufficiency, at least in food production, is what makes the difference in extreme times!
