Mervyns Says It Will Close All 149 Stores

Well, it's sad, but they never treated their employees like human beings, it must be karma for that. The Bosses were rude and hardly cared about the employees first. Well, I think we all know employees come first because they do the work, they run the store they would not even be a Mervy's without them. Now, sadly their isn't gonna be a Mervy's because the Bosses still don't know how to run the business, they failed everyone.

last time I went to Mervyns I bought me a new belt pariently Mervyn's died same time Circuit City died.

I worked for mervyns in the late 90's and the managers always sat in the office and wrote employee schedules. All of the merchandise in the store was on automatic re-order, and not one of them would ever come out to help with the register for lines of customers. And to top all of that the would all (seven of them) go out to lunch promptly at noon together.

I miss Mervyns this is the store where I live the building is still empty after mervyns closed in December of 2008

Thanks this bitchy economy. It's been going on for quite some time, The same thing happened w/ Montgomery Ward(you know when TARGET, and K-mart really began to take off). And lets not forget Circuity city, before circuit city and best buy, we had service merchandise.

Mervyns should have NEVER closed, they were doing very, very well, and like Mervin Morris said... they raped the company!! Same goes for Gottschalks!!

Is Mervyns now Kohls? I had 2 Mervyns in town and they both closed! I like Kohls but that store seems a little too expensive. I bought a pair of capris for almost $20. We have been losing way too many stores! We just lost Linens and Things, Circuit City, all our KB toys, what else is closing now? Obama really needs to fix this economy right away before it gets worse.
