Hard drive data recovery, is very expensive. Charging a few hundreds, to thousands of dollars is normal.
The cost is too high for most people. But for some cases, you can do it on your own,; cost is very low.
The hard drive printed circuit board;( we also call it PCB.) is one of the cases.
If the hard drive printed circuit board is damaged, the hard drive would not work. Swapping (,Replacing) the PCB is the way to rescue the hard drive,; even the professional data recovery companies do the same thing.
The following video is going to talk about how to swap PCB to rescue a hard drive.

Title:
Body: I needed a specific part for my HDD. To make sure it was the right item, I simply asked. I received a reply in less than 2 hours... and I ordered at night. The part came in a few days as promised and it worked perfectly. Instructions in the package were very helpful, easy to read/understand and they even provided the tool I need to re-install the controller card screws. Can't beat that at all!

  • you may scan both sides of your hard drive and send us the photos , we then can have some suggestions for you

  • I have hope!! I have a maxtor hard drive with priceless so when it went out i just bought a brand new one i have kept this one in a safe place for a long time and now i hope to have it repaired without losing the data is that possible?

  • swapping a hdd control board can be expensive, in some cases, or difficult to find the right board. Resoldering the SMDs is a good way to go, but you need to know how to solder right, but that's something every person needs to know

  • Well, will see, I just sent them my pcb for repair/exchange. Hope it works.
