Touring central Texas with the SubGenius leadership conference (Couchstok 02), we visit the Pate, which is now closed and gone. It was an amazing place.
Thanks for posting this excellent video. Pate Museum closed on 12-24-09 and I made a video of it just before it closed, and loaded it on youtube. Most of these planes were gone when I shot my video. The Pate Museum used to be the site of the 3rd largest collector car swap meet in the world! It was like a Woodstock for old car collectors, it was huge. The last Pate S M at Pate Museum was in April '97. The end of an era... See my video!
Closed first comment before this happend: The end music on this matched up with Steve Halpern/Starr Fuentes' "Rest in Light" which was playing offa Music Choice on a different screen. Very weird. Very Stereo. What was that end music?
Puking into the slip stream over the northern plains...yikes...no wonder everyone from St. Paul is so glum! A new definition for "The Vomit Comet". Forwarded the link to this to my friend who runs X-Sanguin Studios...and had a half MIG in front of his Green Screen for about a week or so, shooting stuff. Kevo likes vintage military aircraft. Some pictures of the Half Mig are over on my own MySpace
That looks suspiciously like a pigboat. I hope they drained the bilge...
First M114 I ever saw, I always thought they were a fable.
Great tour and superb commentary !
