@GrandPrix55 Last I checked, Parliament sits for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. If you want your own English Parliamant, that's another issue.
Little history lesson - it was a Scottish king who united our countries as they are today. If not for that act, we could well still be enemies to this day. As it stands, our peaceful union has been very beneficial to all within it. No union, no British Empire. Whoops, I meant English Empire. Sorry!

@GrandPrix55 Ireland have been in the EU since 1973
-
so do you just hate all scottish people we dont all throw spears and hit things you know just saying its a bit stereotyped
-
And Scottish nationalists used to brag that without England their economy can be "as good as the Irish Republic's."
All based on credit and collapsed in a crunch; they now vote the opposite.
Ireland used to think they could manage without the EU.
Dreamers, all.

LOL. Typical response from you grunting barbarians. Uncouth like Glasgow.
After a decade of corrupt, incompetent Scots leeching off England, England needs to ensure you never have a say by forcing independence on you.
Then your industry-less Scottish "economy" will see you go the same was as the Irish one.

we have a say in this country aswell you ignorant prick

A Scot (bunch of Anglophobic leeches) can never be good for England.
Let alone an unelected miserable bastard like Broon.
Or grinning idiot Blair - another Scottish twat.
-
And what makes you believe it is any different in the UK? Be afraid, be very afraid . . .
-
If that is true, why do political parties spend vast sums on promoting their party leader before an election? Do you really believe that Blair was elected on his policies? No, it was because his PR machine promoted him as the best choice for the country.
All is spin these days - fool the public wherever possible.
The main point in this thread, though, is that the electorate was never given a chance to vote for Brown, albeit indirectly. He was foisted onto us, and ye gods, how we have paid!
Hate to burst your bubble mate. But nobody gets to elect the Prime Minister (PM). Gordon Brown is no different from any other PM. He was elected as an MP by his constituency. He was made PM by his party. Of course it didn't help that there was no other contenders. But, under UK law he is as much a PM as any of the previous post-holders.

contrary to your belief, I am not living in a "bubble". I am simply asking him to tell us why he feels he should be running our country. I am perfectly aware of how our political system works thankyou very much.

You seem to be in the sort of mood that if you met him in a bar you'd smash an ashtray in his face.Anyways I liked this viewpoint because it got me thinking - do you think if a PM resigns there should be some sort of public/in party vote to determine the next unlucky son of a bitch?

lol, not really, I'd just be overly confrontational. No ash trays involved.
