G20 Unprovoked Attack By Police On Ian Tomlinson who dies

Caught on camera: The moment G20 victim was hit with a baton and shoved to the ground by police


The son of a newspaper seller who died during the G20 protests has demanded answers after shocking video footage emerged of an officer shoving his father to the ground minutes before he died of a heart attack.

Ian Tomlinson, 47, was hit with a baton and pushed to the floor from behind by an officer in riot gear after getting caught up in the demonstrations in central London last Wednesday evening.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is already investigating the death of Mr Tomlinson - who was not involved in the protest and was trying to walk home from work when the incident occurred.

The video, obtained by The Guardian newspaper and shot by a City find manager, shows him walking slowly with his hands in his pockets in front of a row of police trying to push back a group at 7.20pm on April 1 in the Royal Exchange Passage near the Bank of England.

Wow just come across this debate, It seems to have strayed of the target subject some what!

Going by the footage one person in particular needs to wind there neck in.

From this footage there is no justification for the actions of the officer in question.

This particular situation judging by the footage could have been handled very differently, But i wasn't there and i'm guessing no one involved in this particular debate was either.

So best to hang on and see what happens with the inquiry!!!
