What version are you using, I have Captivate 5 for Mac and I don't see that effects window.

Where did the old animations go?! It used to be easy to put a circle around something, now it seems almost impossible.
Can I trigger a next slide or an animation just by clicking my mouse or spacebar like powerpoint?

@darkembassymusic - yes, this is done with clickboxes in Cp. You can add a click box to the entire slide area - so that anywhere someone clicks it will advance this way.

Could you just add two effects to the same object, like have them fly in for the first few seconds and then stop that effect, then add the second fly out effect to start after that, so you don't have to make two separate slides? Or is this the only (or for some reason the best) way to do it?

@MissTJade Yep, you can stack as many as you like.

@MissTJade - yes, the animations themselves have a timeline in the effects toolbar. So you determine when they are applied, and how long the overall animation is.
