Cats are very territorial animals and like home, which they recognise and can defend. An unfamiliar place such as the Vet's clinic is not exactly a trip to spa for them. That poor thing is probably horrified at probably being stuffed into a box, being taken somewhere (s)he does not know and you throwing blankets or whatever fabric does not help much,either. So that cat is not angry, they are more likely to be horrified.
