@tallowboy It is a very sad story - sad for Sarah, sad for her family and a sad reflection on society and the misguided belief that modern medicine has any kind of answers to cancer treatment. There are more and more people searching for this story - I see the numbers on my stats for my blog as the searchers come across my review of the book. Unfortunately Sarah's story is not the only one like this - it's happening in other countries to other children - particularly in the USA.

The book Sarah's last wish is doing a good job of helping to educate and open up the minds of the public on this issue as I know that there are very many people from around the world searching for this story.

A terrible story not only of a heavy handed state system but of how so many health care individuals were so dispassionate towards the Westley family. The forced chemotherapy is bad enough but even more heartbreaking is that she was malnourished and without palliative care, all at the hands of NSW health and DOCS. I am ashamed and regret that this can occur in our society.

Hi Sue thanks for this review, you have done a brief but very accurate talk on Sarahas Last WIsh. This should not happen to anyone, the fact she was refused any food supplements at all and fed jelly beans and junk food in the hospital bed has no sense to it at all, We all know sugar feeds cancer so what was their purpose behind this action. The whole child protection policies are sick and badly needs refom in this country........ Roslyn Day
