Part four of four. Musics are from Low G Man (NES), Crusader: No Regret (PC), Trancers (moviefilm), and Bionic Commando (NES).

I thought of yet another alteration to the "caliber suite" concept for weapon tiers. Simply replace the MP5 with an HK53 and you have three 5.56ers. Then you'd have nine rifles (not including special purpose weapons like the Saiga 12K or the SVU) arranged in three caliber suites, each able to accept either a grenade launcher or a SPUS, and each balanced by its attributes. Here's what I mean:

5.45x39mm:
AKS-74U (w/GP-95)
AK-74M (w/GP-25)
AN-94 (w/SPUS)

5.56x45mm:
HK53 (w/GP-95)
LR-300 (w/M-203)
SG550 (w/SPUS)

7.62x39mm:
AKM (w/GP-25)
RK-95 (w/M-203)
Vz.58 (w/SPUS)

You could swap the AKM for an AK-104 if you wanted something more modern. That might actually work better since that would mean each caliber suite would have one compact rifle. For even greater variety (just so there aren't to0 many AKs), it would be possible to swap the AKS-74U with an LR-300 that's been converted to 5.45 (called the "LR-545" or some such thing). This is feasible since Smith & Wesson makes a Stoner-based rifle chambered for 5.45. The Bofors Ak5 would then replace the LR-300 in the 5.56 caliber suite. You could then add an AK-9 to the 9x39mm caliber suite (total of three AKs and at least two 9x39 rifles unless you wanted to add a third one like the VSK-94). Then it would lo0k something like this:

5.45x39mm:
LR-545 (w/M-203)
AK-74M (w/GP-25)
AN-94 (w/SPUS)

5.56x45mm:
HK53 (w/GP-95)
Bofors Ak5 (w/M-203)
SG550 (w/SPUS)

7.62x39mm:
AK-104 (w/GP-25)
RK-95 (w/M-203)
Vz.58 (w/SPUS)

9x39mm:
9A-91 (w/GP-95)
AK-9 (w/SPUS)

The AKs would all be different colors. The AK-74M would have a green forearm and orange bakelite mags. The AK-104 would have a black forearm and green waffle mags. The AK-9 would have a w0od forearm and brown ridged mags. This is variable, of course. The AK-74M could have a black forearm and the AK-104's forearm could be green. At least one of them should be w0od, though, and I'm thinking it should be the AK-9. I also revised my ideas for which SMGs should be included.

9x18mm: PP-90M1
9x19mm: Madsen M-50
7.62x25mm: PPS-43
.45 Auto: Kriss prototype

All SMGs would accept a GP-95. This way, everyone would have 2-1/2 weapons as per standard once they have an attachment. If there is to be a PPS-43, then there should also be a CZ52 pistol. For every slot-3 SMG, there'd be a slot-2 pistol of the same caliber. Pistols of corresponding caliber would be: MP-444 (9x18mm, 15-round), FN HP (9x19mm, 13-round), CZ52 (7.62x25mm, 8-round), and USP Compact (.45 ACP, 8-round).

Also, there would only be two primary shotguns: Saiga 12K (accepts M-203) and Protecta (accepts GP-95). Alternatively, instead of a Protecta, it could be some kind of pump-action bullpup (w/bottom-ejection) that accepts a top-mounted GP-95 (w/modified trigger group). The hogleg and the SPUS would be the other two shotguns for a total of four (or 3-1/2 if you count the SPUS as half a weapon). This sort of forms its own weapon suite.

  • So I dicked around with "Pimp My Gun" and come up with this (PM'd you).

You'de be better off fooling around with PMG.

  • @Lucidius134 *sees it* It rocks! \8-D

Very close to what I had in mind. Alternatively, it could be based on the AG36 (in which case, it would be hinged in the middle instead of the front and the trigger group and grip would be attached to a frame instead of the barrel assembly).

  • @bengacris As in Project Reality? I have yet to try that.

  • @IggyHazard You play PR?

  • @FlipGordon Oh. Well at least you're fair.

One reason I make so many gameplay videos is because I use them as sort of a vehicle for expressing my love of video game music (mostly from the '90s) the same way I use 'WALL-E' as a vehicle for expressing my love of retro music (mostly '80s and early '90s). And for both of these (AMVs or GMVs), it's also because I'm attracted to the whole "we-live-in-a-wasteland-but-we-love-it-anyway" mystique. XD It shows in my taste in games and movies.

  • @IggyHazard Well Actually, I would think the same for someone who plays Pool or Basketball. I admit I do play video games a lot but im just voicing my well.... loud opinion..

  • @ZoneVeteran Technically, he's right. I'm celibate (for religious and philosophical reasons). I am free. Free from lust. Free from envy. Free to do what must be done.

Why does that sound so familiar?

  • @FlipGordon Would you think the same about somebody who plays pool or basketball obsessively? Probably not. You only think the way you do because my obsession is a video game. Sports are assumed to be more "socially acceptable, especially team sports. The only difference between me now and me in, say, the early '90s, is that back then my gaming obsession was Flashback (for Genesis)...and I had a mullet.

    GAMERS FOR LIFE! \8-D

  • @FlipGordon That's completely subjective. "Maturity" by your definition is "lame" by my definition. What's the difference between making videos dedicated to one's favorite game and making videos dedicated to one's favorite music? People of all ages make YouTube videos. We're called CONTENT PROVIDERS. Games and music (and firearms) just happen to be my particular interests so I tend to combine them. An individual doesn't "grow out of" their interests (unless beaten over the head with collectivism

  • @IggyHazard If it's for underbarrel GLs, mine's tied up between Half-Life, Blood 2: The Chosen and Operation Flashpoint, but the first game that I ever played that featured a grenade launcher was The Fortress of Dr. Radiaki. The weapon was standalone and launched hand grenades that exploded upon impact. You couldn't use the hand grenades, even if they looked like so, but being that game as bizarre and oscure as it is, who cares. Also, it was the first one to implement a reload function.
