  • No explosions, no car chases not even color. Yet this movie shot in 1 room & in black and white is one of the greats of all time.

  • An incredible performance. Thanks for posting.

  • RIP Sidney

  • Does anyone know him? Could you give me some link to his biography or filmography, please?

  • What a destiny, I'm sure this actor starred in some good films before this one, but he had to wait until 75 to get in one of the most acclaimed and respected classic films ... and to play a pivotal role, since he was the first to support Henry Fonda, and now he's immortal thanks to this film.

  • See movies like Phonebooth can learn from this movie. They shot Phonebooth in one spot and they failed immensely.

This movie was filmed in one room and they did much better than Phonebooth could dream up of.

Also the Joseph Sweeney guy could have made a mistake when he was looking at her in court. He couldn't have seen her clearly if he sat so far away.

  • RIP Joseph Sweeney

  • 0:45 Twenty - Twenty *awesome smile*

    Hahahahahaha

  • @WankstaProductions Exactly. I love how greatly developed the characters are. With each revelation the jurors realize how much is weighing on the case and how close they came to sending a young man to his death. The movie is beautiful and all that is going through is mind is portrayed on his expression... it's not over the top, it's not attention grabbing or show stealing, it's plain, simple realization. It's an epiphany, a complete change of thought.,... displayed merely by his stare.

  • Joseph Sweeney was 75 years old when this was filmed..which means he was born in 1882!

  • At 1:00, Juror #4 immediately realizes where this is going, and that they have shown how there are problems in every piece of evidence.
