Wow.. some people are so angry. I didn't think this was the best video in the world but I thought it was pretty good.

You understand it correctly of it being a lie to a certain extent: Those focused on materiality sacrifice their spirituality and those focused on spirituality sacrifice their materiality.
The lie: money equals intellect/benevolence or that poverty equals stupidity/malevolence.
Truths: (1)Malevolent persons abuse the weak and coerce the less-than-strong through violence; (2) Liberators become oppressors.

Norway, Luxemborg, Switzerland all have substantially more money per person than the US. They don't have comparable social problems, or from what I know, ANY bad international relations.
From what I understand of the States though, there is a big lie there suggesting everyone has nearly equal opportunity and that better people will always rise to the top, have more money, public esteem, etc. I guess you call that self-idolatry, vistavision2.
