ALBÉNIZ, THE COLOUR OF MUSIC is a tribute to one of the most important Spanish composers of all time on the centenary of his death.
Isaac Albéniz was born in Camprodón (Girona) and died 49 years later in Cambo-les Bains (France). A short life, yet intense. He was warm, expansive, generous, bon vivant and an adventurer. He lived most of his life outside of Spain, something he wasn't forgiven for, but found his inspiration in the Spain: Triana, Navarra, Lavapiés... His life is full of legends, may of them created by Albéniz himself which gives insight into the complexity and sense of humour the great composer had.
His huge creative production of music includes 250 works including piano pieces, operas, operettas and songs.
The music has a fundamental role in the film. Rosa Torres Pardo, Joaquín Soriano, Marisa Montiel, Diego Cayuelas, Assai Quartet and the mezzo-soprano Marina Pardo, interpret the best known of the Suite Iberia, his masterpiece, and other songs surprising and unknown to the public.
