The Rising (Priyanjali Mitra) - UKEFF 2009

Priyanjali works with Hindustan Times as a chief sub-editor. She read about the fellowships on the web. As a journalist, she has been following the issues of climate change. Though she doesnt have any technical training in filming, she decided to that the fellowship seemed a good opportunity to try and give shape to an idea. With some help from friends, she made a short film and it was exciting to see that the message got through effectively. In the future, Priyanjali hopes to do her bit as a print journalist in raising environmental awareness and will also looks forward to such exciting opportunities to try new mediums.
