Nasser Nakib completed his studies at the University of Minnesota and subsequently at SCI-ARC where he received his Masters of Architecture in 1988. After several years of training in Boston and New York, Nakib established his architecture practice in Midtown New York with emphasis on high end residential work 1993-Present. The body or work earned him several international publications (House Beautiful, HG, Gotham, Vogue, Living, Town & Country, Byzance and Elle Décor) and the reputation of top 100 US designers "house beautiful" several years running and one of the top US Architect rankings of the "Franklin Report". Expanding on his residential career into development and hotels, Nakib accepted an offer, in 2003, from Thomas Barrack Junior to manage the development efforts for Colony Capital in Costa Smeralda, Sardinia, Italy. Simultaneously, Nakib relocated his residence to Beirut, Lebanon where he established a design studio. Nakib continues his international practice in the US, Europe and the Middle East. The interview with Ricardo Karam took place in Beirut, Lebanon.
