An overview of traditional indigenous management of landscapes and useful plants. Native people used (and today many still use) burning, horticultural practices, regenerative harvests, propagation and transportation of "wild" species, cultivation and domestication to create a productive landscape. Implications for permaculture, food forestry, and ecological restoration.

  • I never find this video boring... It's really nice to know there are organization doing business in restoring our nature and we all know everyone could benefit from it. Thanks for making this very nice video! :D

  • All to often I hear and see people simply worship the authors of the designers manuals as the creators of earth management & often online and in real life I speak on the indigenous management skills many brown skinned peoples of this earth did and do and even then people roll there eyes. But what I also see is a sort of "The natives are dead, gone, or to westernized so we will replace them" in a point of view towards the noble savage. Thankyou for being culturally aware and relevant!
