why is the footage so hard to find, everywhere i looked i had to pay something or have a credit card, is it because its on amazon, why would we pay for it when you say you didn't even find it or get good footage of it, can't believe i wasted 2 hours of my life trying to find this stupid episode of sea hunters.

I don't think anyone will find her tragically

This is a very small ship to be looking for in that region, a region carpeted with fishing boat wrecks, war wreckage, etc. Doesn't make a great deal of sense when there are bigger targets, more interesting targets to search out.

where did you source that information from then ?
Hello Mr. Joey,
You can't get it because the Broadcasters take all the rights in all formats so that you have to pay or watch adds in order to see the documentary. The Independent producer who made the show basically has no rights to the product.
The Andrea Gail is on the 2nd Sea Hunters DVD set. That about it unless someone has it up somewhere on the net.

Hello downhillmtb13,
We saw some wreckage we don't know any more than that. There is no way we attribute what we saw to any specific shipwreck. The last resting site of Andrea Gail remains a mystery.

We only got a very short look at the wreckage, there was a substantial bottom current at the site. what we saw was what looked like a hatch cover up on its side and a section of what looked like 11/4 polyprop rope. as we tried to reposition the ROV we slipped away from the wreckage. It was during the time that we were trying to get back on target that the Captain of our vessel gave the haul gear sign. We had about 30 seconds of footage. Life is cruel

Too much money unless you can get a broadcaster to pay some of the cost. We tried to raise money through our web site.
Contributions from users who would then get an access code to special footage but no takers. Everybody wants to go to heaven, nobody wants to die.

The Andrea Gail is still a mystery. We found some wreckage but were blown off the site by an amazing storm ( a "weather bomb" defined by loosing more than 24 millibars of barimetric pressure in less than 24 hours) we had 30 ft. seas. we've never had the chance to go back to the site.
