GMK would have been a much better film if Shusuke Kaneko had more control over what was in his film. Toho has always cut Godzilla short of his greatest potential in the most recent films. They just want to please the fans a little and make a quick buck. The Gamera films were masterpieces and there is no excuse for Shusuke Kaneko's vision of Godzilla to be hampered by Toho's creative meddling.
