i currently have no stocks or bonds or commodities or anything i really wannt to get started investing before shit hits the fan which website do i go to to invest in food and metals?

I always like gold.....I do think that since the absurdity of the corporate bail out happened every American that is suffering financially should get a 'do-ver.' Really whatever kind they need. If they had to file bankruptcy, for instance, that record, along with any debt that didn't qualify, etc. should all be erased. Late payments? Erased. I still can't believe it's not a night dream, that they were covered like that. And the average citizen was just left in the dust.

when the shtf you wont want anything to do with stocks, bonds or cash. I personally have a small amount of extra play money invested into GLD and SLV thru an online discount broker, however, I practice physical ownership of the metal even more so.

I personally suggest as part of a currency crisis strategy to emphasis on silver mercury dimes and 10 oz .999 silver bars. Do not bother with any other form of silver.

Make a list of things you think you need and buy them.
