This is a painting for Tom Marioni
conceptualized by
Julia Claire Wallace and Patrick O'Brien Doyle.
This video is a response to Tom Marioni's FreeHand Circle video and the radio interview he gave on Cincinnati's WVXU on 9/10/06. In FreeHand Circle he creates a circle on a gallery wall with graphite. Both the video and the interview can be found on Tom Marioni's website.

@DGconnection I think it's art. I like how a human can create an almost perfect circle without any tools. Its simplistic yes, but the Idea behind it gives it meaning and thus it becomes art/

Ugh... This is NOT art. Before seeing this i had believed that you could look at just about anything and call it an artwork, a child's drawing from pre-school, a highly well designed draft, whatever. That is art, because it incorporates an action that people put into that piece of art, a thing called effort. You've stood there, for no-less then a minute circling your arm on a large piece of paper, and you have the audacity to call THAT art?
Get another job, this obviously isn't for you.
