What they could have done at Marvel, to keep Todd there, would have been to have a more mature theme"Book" labeled as such, so Todd could have remained on. But. let's face it, he was destined to go higher,further and to become what he is today....A very smart buisnessman!

Actually when Venom first appeared followed by Carnage. Spiderman had a more matured theme. Both just looks more grimy compared to Green Goblin or Electro,
