Eternal War - Fallen Heroes

This is just a video i made using different clips from war films. I'm not attempting to glorify war, merely make a tribute to those who have died in any conflict or war. War is not glorious. It always ends up with people dying, maimed, scarred for life. However, those who fought for freedom and their country need to be remembered, even if they fought for the wrong country. I am NOT a Nazi sympathizer, and am not saying remember the Nazis as heroes. All i say about them, is remember the lesson they taught us. Never allow dictators to rule un-opposed. Instead, I'm saying remember the ordinary soldiers, most of whom are only fighting for their country, not for racist beliefs.

@927natalie and what about all the other heroes who fought for their country? No single country only had heroes, but every country had some, in every conflict, no matter what side they were on.

hey man, seriously, this was really great! it really makes u realize that these r all real people fighting our wars and that they sacrifice so much. The opening scenes especially where they were all getting rready and saying there prayers was really great. Awesome vid!!!

u should make one like this with sum black hawk down and maybe throw in some of the politics behind it, like presidents and senators. lions for lambs has some good clips. just a suggestion. keep them up. thanks.

Just about making black hawk down or a video with more politics behind it is that i don't download ANY of my material which means i am severely limited in what i can use (as you may have noticed by the fact i used gladiator scenes). But i will bear it in mind if i make another tribute to those soldiers who fought and died for their countries, showing the somtimes almost pointless reasons they fought, designed by polititians.

Very interesting concept. I can see how using many movies can get you a variety of good scenes. Mind if I do this in the future.

Yeah, by all means. I'm not the first to mix films in like this, just maybe with this combination :P

There's a glitch about halfway through which put all the video 1 second out of sync with the music/sound, so the video is now slower, but i think i can only really notice it cause i have a perfect version which i watch when im bored :P

I'm currently working on 3 videos, and one is 2/3 of the way done, another is around 1/4 done and the final is just in the planning stage, as i'm making it into my best every bsg one (The 2nd and 3rd are BSG videos, the 1st is a tribute to saving private ryan). Not sure when they will be uploaded. Probably in the next month or so, depending on how much time i get.

Yeah, i tried to mix in all combat eras, or just those that i had which looked good/more realistic than other films. I've heard back from other people that it was out of place, but then i think the rest of the video would have been put down in quality as i may have had to repeat clips. Atleast with them in, it's all new footage as it moves on. Just wondering, did you notice the glitch at around 3:30 which kind of put the video out of synch by one second?
