Don't you get a bench warrant out for your arrest if you don't go to jury duty? I could be mistaken... If so please correct me, but was my understanding if you didn't show up the day your told to they put a bench warrant out on you? Just curious cuz you seemed to make it sound like it was an option... Maybe its diff state to state?

in Serbia (and the rest of Europe), we do not have a jury instead judge decides the fate of the accused..

I've been giving the notification for jury duty a few times through my adult life but have never been pulled into the court for it. Would I do it? Absolutely. It's a responsibility of liberty. Great video and very touching story.

I've never been called for duty and frankly, I'm probably not what they are looking for. I'm too critical of people's motives. lol I've glad that you were able to make a difference.

I know in Michigan you can get out of jury duty with a good reason but you have to write a letter explaining why you shouldn't have to go.. And even then they still can make ha go. And if you don't show up you get a warrant for hour arrest (my understanding of it)
