@subway394 They couldn't let the calf be born naturally. That calf was positioned in a way (it was backwards) that the only way to get it out of the uterus was to pull it with chains. It's less harsh than it seems because the only way a calf can be born naturally with no problems is if it's facing forwards (towards the vagina) with its feet forward as well. If the veterinarian doesn't do anything about it, it's not going anywhere.

Why can't they let the birth happen naturally?
Pulling calfs with chains is so harsh on those calfs.

so the calf is born with dystocia and the mom and baby you would get rid of them because it is inheritance problem =( poor mommy poor baby ='(
