Well, this was sitting for quite a while until a few days ago. A new process has really picked up the speed of which it is built :). it is currently at floor 110, and is 550 meters tall. The plan is to get it to floor 200 to 250 or mabye even higher. For those of you who have seen my other videos, you may have noticed that i doubled up the number of panels on the building :) i believe that it looks more like a skyscraper in real life. The blue cladding marks mark every 10 floors on the building.

As always, comments and opinions are appreciated.

  • ok, did not whant to be rude or anything, but how is your design process? you just add a floor and let the shape go where ever it goes or have you allready sketched up some framework to build upon? sorry but it looks really unproportional and bulky, you should try other programs, like rhynoceros (if you have allready decised on the form) or even better Modo or Catia if you want the form to be generated on the go

  • I built it up on a framework and its actually pritty accurate. It is on GoogleSketchup 7 so its kind of limited. I have one question for you tho: are those programs free? I appreciate the ideas tho :)

  • what tower is this crap?

  • just one i modeled up

  • Very utilitarian...

  • No they are not free as they are quite advanced and professional, but as with any stuff you can easily approach pirated versions online. But if you are trying to keep your karma fresh then you could apply as a student as most of these programs have a student discount or even free trial versions (think modo has a free month atleast), and tutorials for all these programs can be found easily on the net, both as videos and pdfs. (official tutor material allso available on torrents)
