Brandon Routh did a good job playing superman. But no matter how incredible you are, great acting doesn't save a garbage script.

NICE, both were GREAT, Christopher I'll even admit, and I wasn't even BORN in the 70s or 80s, was the BEST and definetly the great classic version, but Routh was definetly GREAT and I don't care what ANYBODY else says even if they DO make a few good points on the criticism on the movie even though it was only the COSTUME or the new story and NOT the actors or actresses and the director himself has a great vision, but Routh PLAYED HIS PART, he played his PART, he did VERY well. :)

it is always good to see Reeves as Superman again ---he was magnificent in that role!
seeing Routh again ---who was also a wonderful Superman--- makes me sad how Warner Bros treated him
if talent in a role was the only criterion, he deserved to make more than just the one Superman movie

No comparison. Routh did a fine job in a crap movie but Reeve IS Superman and always will be.
