@BloodyBay I've personally not found that to be so with lower forms of humanity, but i accept that a true and intelligent human does place far more stock in those capable of eloquent speech than in degenerate foul mouthed conversationalists. its often hard to distinguish who will respond to what nowadays. also i have aspergers syndrome so im not the best judge of social interactions. thanks for your opinion though

@EveofBattle By "gamer," do you mean video gamer or roleplaying game gamer? Because you seem to have confused the two. I'm the latter type. I cut my teeth on the hoary old D&D "Red Box" Basic Set, and I think WoW's crap too.

But I also take a pretty dim view of Games Workshop chiefly because of their extortive business practices; two minis, same amount of metal, but one costs twice as much because it's a General in-game, et al. But at least Necromunda was budget-friendly.

@ZaphodB12 On the contrary, people tend to not listen to what you're saying when you put them on the defensive. And cussing people out is one surefire way to put them on the defensive.

Plus, there's the idea that someone who cusses right and left isn't intelligent enough to form an idea worth listening to. So "Fuck those fucking shit Democrats!" pretty much becomes "Nng nng nnng nnnng nnng!" in their interpretation. Even in this day and age, people place value in eloquence.
