@bonezmartinez 92-97 Aerostars were better vans and they dodnt have the rear axel problem these did
-
@Porsche1080 thats why i bought a 95 aerostar that is a real van
-
i got a windstar too, mackin bitches 24/7 in it. i have a mattress in the back. always gettin busy. if the van's rockin, dont come a knockin.
-
@79Datson my grandams windstar lasted 360,000 miles
-
@Porsche1080 just because the light is on dont mean its dead
-
@Psythik yeah, it was also made during a time when minivans didn't have 300hp engines.
-
@79Datson - Actually, they stopped making them because Ford wanted to start all of their car names with the letter F, to help consumers better remember the cars. Some of the first generation Windstars had issues, but the others did not.

@Porsche1080 We still have our '98 Windstar. It got the "engine light" too and found out that a valve in one of the cylinder was loose or worn out. Be nice to the engine...
The only real thing that get fucked up in this van is the check engine but its because the motor sensors get fucked up but after u change that this car is imortal

@bonezmartinez these vans also had shitty transmission that often go out with less then 100k miles

lol my family used to have a '96 windstar, when i was really young. it was decently quick. But all too often, the check engine light is on. Every single one has the check engine light on. Look all over youtube. I guess this is why some people call ford "Found On Road Dead".

@Porsche1080 Yep windstars sucked pretty bad. There's a reason they stopped making them.

Sept. 4, 2010 my rear axle snapped in 2 on I-80 going 65mph with my 2 children, brother and his son on the way home from my aunts funeral. I had no warning and I had to cut across 3 lanes of traffic and miraculasly nobody hit us. I though we were going to be killed. There is already a class action law suit on the Ford Windstar Rear Axle snapping and Ford is waiting till Sept 27, 2010 to send out recall letters. Somebody will get killed. Please don't drive your Windstar without getting it check
